friday

Yeah, the Statue of Liberty's crown will be open to the public on July 4. That was one of the highlights of my school-age youth-walking up to the crown and looking down at the people who looked like ants and the ocean. I'm probably one of a few New Yorkers who has visited all of the well-known tourist attractions in the city.

How can those who live there not have seen the "sights"? I'm glad you have!
Have a great evening!

I've always been a proponent of visiting the local attractions. :)

So cool!!! And, I'm one of the guilty ones who doesn't go to the sites in my own town. When I knew I was leaving Colorado Springs, I hurried up and did as much as I could in a few weeks -- after having lived there for five years. Still didn't make it up the Cog Railway to the top of Pikes Peak :-(

So, good for you. And, I want to visit Lady Liberty someday.

I heard about that on the news and thought it was great!
