100 Things

001. Started my own blog. It's a good way to keep a journal and when there is no one to talk to, you know someone else is listening.

002. Slept under the stars. in Bear Mountain

003. Played in a band.

004. Visited Hawaii.

005. Watched a meteor shower.

006. Given more than I can afford to charity.

007. Been to DisneyWorld/Land. I was already an adult and I really wanted to go to Disney World so I took my nephew on his sixth birthday so that I could play.

008. Climbed a mountain.

009. Held a praying mantis.

010. Sung a solo.

011. Bungee jumped.

012. Visited Paris. - I went several years ago to France for 10 days and our last tour stop was Paris. Loved it.

013. Watched lightning at sea.

014. Taught myself an art from scratch. I taught myself to draw - not very good. I taught myself sign language - can do the basics. I built my website using HTML.

015. Adopted a child.

016. Had food poisoning. Just recently and a couple of times before that. I'm staying away from Chinese Food.

017. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty. Yes, several times. What a sight to see looking down below.

018. Grown my own vegetables.

019. Seen the Mona Lisa in France. See above about Paris.

020. Slept on an overnight train.

021. Had a pillow fight. and my team won

022. Hitchhiked.

023. Taken a sick day when you're not ill. - I call it a mental day.

024. Built a snow fort. when I was younger

025. Held a lamb.

026. Gone skinny dipping.

027. Run a marathon.

028. Ridden in a gondola in Venice.

029. Seen a total eclipse.

030. Watched a sunrise or a sunset. it is so beautiful

031. Hit a home run.

032. Been on a cruise. several times despite being afraid of water

033. Seen Niagara Falls in person. this was my first trip to Canada

034. Visited the birthplace of my ancestors.

035. Seen an Amish community.

036. Taught myself a new language. French and Japanese

037. Had enough money to be satisfied. Yes

038. Had a tatoo removed.

039. Spit off a bridge.

040. Seen Michelangelo's David.

041. Sung karaoke.

042. Seen Old Faithful geyser erupt.

043. Bought a stranger a meal at a restaurant. One day a customer didn't have enough money to pay for her meal so I told the clerk that I would pay for it.

044. Visited Africa.

045. Walked on a beach by moonlight.

046. Been transported in an ambulance. Many times when I was younger.

047. Had my portrait painted.

048. Gone deep sea fishing.

049. Been to the Sistine Chapel in person.

050. Been to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. See Paris above

051. Gone scuba diving or snorkeling.

052. Kissed in the rain.

053. Played in the mud. when I was younger

054. Gone to a drive-in theater. When I was younger

055. Been in a movie. - I was in a TV intro to an award show - does that count?

056. Visited the Great Wall of China.

057. Started a business.

058. Taken a martial arts class.

059. Visited Russia.

060. Served at a soup kitchen. it was a very emotional experience

061. Sold Girl Scout cookies. Was not very successful in this task.

062. Gone whale watching. Loved it. Would love to see Killer whales next.

063. Got flowers for no reason.

064. Donated blood, platelets, or plasma. - Two days ago

065. Gone sky diving.

066. Visited a Nazi concentration camp site.

067. Bounced a check.

068. Flown in a helicopter.

069. Saved a favorite childhood toy up until adulthood.

070. Visited the Lincoln Memorial. My favorite DC place

071. Eaten caviar. - Gross

072. Pieced a quilt. - I started quilting when I was laid off in 2003 and didn't think I would stick with it. Now it's my form of creativity and relaxation.

073. Stood in Times Square. Several times, especially since my job is located nearby.

074. Toured the Everglades.

075. Been fired from a job. - if you count being laid off, yes

076. Seen the Changing of the Guard in London.

077. Broken a bone.

078. Been on a speeding motorcycle.

079. Seen the Grand Canyon in person.

080. Published a book.

081. Visited the Vatican.

082. Bought a brand new car.

083. Walked in Jerusalem.

084. Had my picture in the newspaper. My class won a spelling contest

085. Read the entire Bible. twice

086. Visited the White House. and met President Nixon

087. Killed and prepared an animal for eating.

088. Had chickenpox. yes

089. Saved someone's life. - save a friend and her child from an abusive relationship

090. Overcome a physical disability.

091. Met someone famous. President Nixon

092. Joined a book club. - Book Clatch, Doubleday

093. Lost a loved one. my uncle and great-grandmother

094. Had a baby.

095. Seen the Alamo in person.

096. Swam in the Great Salt Lake.

097. Been involved in a law suit.

098. Owned a cell phone. and still don't use it fully

099. Been stung by a bee. Yes, and we now know that I can never ever be stung by a bee. Avoid at all cost.

100. Ridden an elephant.

The whole "taking a cruise, but I'm afraid of water" thing still amazes me...

And, I really do need to get to NYC -- I'm really not THAT far away. **sigh**
