Christmas Catalogs

I got the J.C. Penny Christmas catalog the other day. I was truly surprised at how thin it was and how it look like a regular J.C. Penny catalog. Do you remember the big gigantic Sears Christmas Wish catalog; Spiegel oversized Christmas catalog; the big gigantic J.C. Penney catalog? Times sure has changed. I remember it took us several weeks to go through every page and mark all the things that we wanted for Christmas. We had to take turns but I believe we perused the catalog from October until December added items that we wanted. Because we were a single-parent low paying household, we knew we couldn't get 99% of the things we marked, but it was a wish and a dream. Today's J.C. Penny catalog - I perused it in under 3 hours without markings.

Brandy - The class went very well my day was okay.

Tori - Yes, the class was fun especially since I knew one of the girls and met another one who is a stand-up comedienne.

Marianne asked about my knees and you know it felt better after the class. I could probably do some of what I learn in between classes, but I like the motivation of the instructor.

Diane - I subscribe to CBS Eye-Lerts which lets me know what time the shows will air after the football game or a delay in programming.

Melissa - it's good to see you blog hopping and thanks.

Anne-Kathrine - I have a touch of arthritis in my knees.

Keri - you gotta love those Yankees. The true test will be when the face the Angels.

I remember those catalogues. Sears still puts out a Wish Catalogue, which my kids love and ToysRUs usually sends out something as well.
Glad to know your knees felt better after class. It must be interesting to have a comedienne in your class!

Even 10 yrs ago the catalogs were huge. I guess things have changed so much now.

RE: arthritis. I don't know if you take anything for it. But you might want to try some Ester-C and glucusamin. I've found that both work well for my arthritis (in both knees, ankles and starting on wrists, so falling to pieces lol).

I'm actually going to be in NY for about a day lol. I fly in on Thur, get to spend quality time at the Portugese embassy on Friday and fly back home on Sat. My parents are both going to be there too. Mom is working there that weekend. If I was staying longer I'd loved to meet up with you, but don't think it will work out this trip.

I remember waiting for the wish book to arrive from Sears! We'd pour through it making our lists for Santa.
