Had fun today. Today was Fire Safety Day and watched a demonstration with the firemen using the jaws of life. It was cool seeing them tear off the door and then ripping off the roof and then finally evacuating the injured person. It was so cool. Then they had old fire trucks and when we left we got a goodie bag filled with fire safety pencil, comic book, flashlight, rubber bracelet and ruler.

Quilting update: Wow, this quilt is big. I had to use the kitchen table to lay out the top quilt, the lite-loft batting and the quilt backing that I needed to assemble the quilt sandwich. I basted the sandwich and will let it settle before beginning the next step is machine quilting.
Trivia: On this day in 1930, Laura Ingalls became the first woman to make a solo transcontinental airplane flight.
Word of the day: Efficacy - effectiveness
on TV tonight:
Dancing With the Stars, Two and a Half Men, CastleI'm reading
Stuck on Murder by Lucy Lawrence, the first book in the new "Decoupage" cozy mystery series.

I like the old fire engines, too cool! The quilt is gorgeous! I know I keep saying that, but it is! *G*
I hope you're having a great day!
I was VERY confused until I discovered Laura Ingalls and Laura Ingalls Wilder were NOT the same person. LOL!
