Above you'll find the picture of when I knew what fabric and/or color scheme was planned on using for the quilt. At that time I had no idea what I was going to do, but I just let the fabric and the creative juice create. All of the patterned fabric was used. Introducing Assorted Flavors. I'm always amazed at the finished product and the picture does not do it justice.
This project was interesting because it's the largest quilt that I've ever made. Hand piecing it was easy. I actually like this part because this is where you design and create how the quilt will look. The hard part was machine quilting because there was more to work with. I had to roll the ends so that it was easy to quilt. I did learn from the class I took and put the ironing board behind my sewing table to catch the quilt as I stitched. You really feel the weight. I know eventually I should make the attempt to make a crib-size quilt.
I had a good workout at my indoor power walking class. The one thing I could not do is locate the spot to self-take my pulse. The instructor was able to locate it and I felt the beat. Another classmate was able to locate my pulse and I felt the beat. But when I tried the same spot without their guidance, I couldn't located it until they literately put my fingers on the spot. Oh well.
I have two clocks in my bedroom; one by my bed which is 30 minutes faster and one on my dresser which shows the correct time. Obviously the clock on the dresser thought it was Daylight Savings Time because the digits said 4:08 instead of 5:08. So this tells me that next week may be Daylight Savings Time.
Word of the day: DILATE - to make larger; to expand

Assorted Flavors is gorgeous! Chris said "Good Job" and Daughter called it Cool. *G*
Sometimes it takes practice to find your pulse. I'm sure you'll figure it out soon. Hmm, I had no idea Daylight Savings time was creeping up on us again so soon.
Have a great night!
Go Yankees!!!
NONONONONO... I do NOT like Daylight Savings Time. It should be abolished. Wah!!!
And, I still love that quilt. Gorgeous!
OH love the quilt, it really turned out great!
Good to hear you enjoy your workout!
Oh, Dru. It's so beautiful. Seriously. Great job!!!!!
How do you like your netbook? I got a $70 off coupon from Dell from a coupon promotion, but haven't gone to see how much they actually cost. I was thinking a netbook would give us a much needed computer around her to access the net.
Another fab quilting project! :)
I hate the stupid time changes. They ALWAYS screw up stuff I record in the middle of the night. I loved it when I lived in Arizona since they don't do DST.
