This is a joyous day in the city and I'm not able to take part in the festivities due to time constraints. I had fun living vicariously through those attending.
Word of the Day: PRISTINE - fresh and clean; uncorrupt
Trivia: On this day in 1860, Abraham Lincoln was elected to be the sixteenth president of the United States.

I am sorry to hear that you were not able to take part in the festivities. What festivities did you miss??
But on a good note, I hope you have a great weekend!
It's nice to see the city in celebration mode for a change, isn't it?
I saw a bit of the ticker tape parade on the news. And I couldn't help wondering... who cleans up all that mess once the parade's over???? :)
Cecile, the parade was because the NY Yankees won the world series.
Devon, I love it everyone comes to celebrate.
Tori, the sanitation department. THe guys get overtime pay.
Sorry you were unable to participate, but you did, in spirit! Right? *G*
Have a fabulous weekend Dru! You deserve it!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend otherwise!
