a quiet Friday

This is a joyous day in the city and I'm not able to take part in the festivities due to time constraints.  I had fun living vicariously through those attending.

Word of the Day: PRISTINE - fresh and clean; uncorrupt

Trivia: On this day in 1860, Abraham Lincoln was elected to be the sixteenth president of the United States.

But on a good note, I hope you have a great weekend!

It's nice to see the city in celebration mode for a change, isn't it?

I saw a bit of the ticker tape parade on the news. And I couldn't help wondering... who cleans up all that mess once the parade's over???? :)
